GLOs in visual analysis
Jun 1 2010, 12:12 PM EDT
We are developing a series of GLOs will introduce students from any discipline to a structured framework for looking at artefacts and images. The initial versions will be generic but the advantage of using GLOmaker is that they can be designed to be easy for lecturers to adapt and create their own discipline-specific versions, by uploading their own images or adding more specialised sections, links to further information about eg materials and techniques. The generic GLOs will cover key questions to ask about any object, along with 'compare and contrast' exercises to help sharpen students' observation skills. The series will use copyright cleared images, which may include materials from VADS and other image archives. Weare exploring the possibility of locating a future variation on the VADS website in order to generate randomised pairs of related images for more advanced comparative exercises.1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
