Hi, Is there a way for GloMaker 2 quiz to integrate with Blackboard Gradebook?
After completing the quiz, the score will be tracked in Gradebook?
Thanks, Leon

You need the GLOMaker zip file that you have created.
1. In the course or organisation, click into the area where you want to add a new resource. 2. Click on Edit View in the top right hand side. 3. Click on the Add item icon. 4. Type in the Title of the item, change the colour if required. 5. Add a Description if required (it is useful to introduce the item to students). 6. Attach local file by clicking the Browse button and navigating to the zip file you want to upload. 7. Add a Name of Link to File which will be displayed as a hyperlink. 8. In the Special Action drop down box, select: * Unpackage this file o This gives you another page where you select the first page to be displayed: o Select GLO_Player.html 9. Make the file Available if you want students to see it right away and select dates if you want restrict when students can see the item 10. Click on Submit then OK 11. Click Display View to preview the item as the students will see it.

Hi,
Having browsed the samples it appears the GLO Maker exports swf files which require flash player 10. This seems like a needless restriction on the potential users, since some browsers (particularly mobile ones) are unable to view flash 10 files, and the content is not complex enough to need the later version. A bit like only making docx files available while many users still only have Word 2003.
Can GLO Maker export to an earlier version of Flash? If so, are there any examples available.
Thanks.

I've uploaded a GLO Maker tutorial that I creaed on to our VLE, WebCT. However, I can't get it to play as it asks for a Flash plugin, even if I download the plugin it still doesn't work.
I would also like to upload the tutorial to a wiki - I've uploaded both the HTML and the .swf files but it still won't play.
Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Many thanks,
Nancy

Hello, I'm sure this is easy but I can't work out how to do this! I've created a glo called musictour1.glo and I've uploaded it to my own hosting (I can't get on the university one). www.helvissa.com/musictour1.glo But all I get is a page of html.
What we're hoping to do is produce a page of tutorials and we want to use Glomaker to create virtual library tours. The glo. will need to be accessible from the tutorial webpage. What would be the best way of going about this?
Thanks! Helen.

I've noticed on a few of the examples in the RLO CETL repository that there are free text boxes for user input but I can't see these as a component in GLOMaker. Have they been done using Flash? Any plans to add a free text input component?

As we are in the same University it is probably faster if you contact us directly we can deal with the issues. I will send my email and phone contact.

Is it possible to merge two Glo projects together? I've tried opening one .glo and using edit>copy then opening another and pasting but it doesn't seem to work (actually I can't even copy and paste a component from one slide to another within the same project!).
Any chance of an import project function (with the ability to select/deselect the desired slides) to facilitate the merging of two existing projects?

In relation to the specific queries, GLO Maker is focused on producing standalone learning objects. It does not, at the moment support, “complex” learning objects that combine more than one existing learning object.
On copy and paste: you can copy and paste text using the normal keyboard commands. For media components you need to use the Browse button on the Properties panel to load the media (Picture, Video Flash animation). When you package a GLO the media are all saved in a sub-folder called “content” within the main GLO folder. You can re-import any media element from here.
I hope that this is useful
